National Bank hired Stroh Architecture, Inc. to design a building that would make a strong and
lasting statement about their institution. We designed this building to present a solid, timeless
image – one that projects solvency, success and longevity.
We recommended a design that reflects a contemporary interpretation of classic architecture
prevalent in the 1920’s, while complimenting the surrounding area by incorporating the natural
tones and colors of beautiful northern Arizona.
The entrance showcases a cantilevered and curved aluminum canopy that draws customers to
the main entrance and also provides an appealing contrast to the masonry colors. Granite
was used throughout the exterior façade of the building as accent embellishments, while
custom crafted light fixtures were used to serve as visual magnets after dark.
We are strongly committed to the effective usage of lighting, through the use of both obvious
and obscure fixtures. Much consideration was given to how the building would look after the
sun had gone down. We strive to have our buildings make a strong visual statement both
about the client and our Firm, day or night.
Our Firm was recognized by the Prescott Valley Economic Development Foundation with their
Beautification Award for outstanding Architectural Design for this project.
This 12,580 sq. ft. facility was completed in October 1997 at a construction cost of $1,346,060.
